Engineering Proposal

An Engineering Proposal is a document that engineers use to create a somewhat business proposal like offer to conduct research or construct some type of project. The goal of this document is to persuade and inform the intended audience about a certain topic and why your idea should be pursued. This document also outlines each step of the project, such as building and costs, as well as the qualifications of the personnel proposing it. This document is comprised of a couple main sections. These are the summary/boiler plate, which gives a very brief explanation of who the company is, what they do and what the project is about. Next is the introduction, which gives the audience background information or context to better understand the proposal. Third is the problem statement, where the main problem that is trying to be solved is explained. Fourth is the solution, this explains how your project will go about solving the problem previously mentioned. Fifth are the methods that will be used in order to reach the end goal. And lastly there is the budgeting of the project, i.e. how much will this all cost and where is it all going.
